The S.A.F.E Program works to identify children and their families who are identified “at risk” and facilitate a community-based approach to improve educational experience and opportunity for all Comal County children.

The program serves children, aged 6-11, and their families who reside in Comal County and who demonstrate attendance and/or behavioral issues that place the child “at risk” of truancy, educational deficiencies, and delinquent behavior.

Referrals can be made by:

• School officials and Truancy Officers
• Student services counselors
• Judges/ Truancy Courts
• Parents and Guardians
