Each player must be in the K-6th grade.

• The League age/grade rules for playing will be governed by UIL rules. Players shall be classified by the fall grade of the season they are competing in and will not be moved down without BYS approval.
  • If a player is too old for his grade level, they will be bumped up to the next grade level to play.
  • Homeschooled players will be in the grade that they would have naturally progressed to by starting public school in the year that they turned 5 before September 1st.
  • Report cards must be put in team folders by the end of the first six weeks, or 3-week progress reports must be in team folders if 6 weeks are not done before playoffs.
  • Regardless, some sort of proof of residency in the district they are playing, a progress or report card must be in the team folder by weigh-ins, or that child will be ruled ineligible.

  • Freshmen | K-2nd | 6-8 years old
  • JV | 3rd-4th | 8-10 years old
  • Varsity | 5th-6th | 10-12 years old

The registration fee is $300. For late registration, there is a $100 late registration fee that will be assessed.

Note: The Registration grade is the grade the youth athlete will be in for the 2025-2026 school year.
