Blue Heron Recovery provides a highly structured environment where individuals live onsite full-time to focus entirely on their recovery from substance use disorders that includes:
- 24/7 onsite living: Clients reside on the 18-acre campus in a safe, drug-free setting.
- Evidence-based clinical therapies: Daily schedules include individual, group, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior (DBT) therapies.
- Trauma-informed care: Specialized psychiatric services and trauma therapies address co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Medical and medication support: Providers offer medication management and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as clinically required.
- Life skills and experiential activities: Programs incorporate holistic stress management, fitness, yoga, gardening, fishing, and cooking classes.
- Relapse prevention and accountability: The curriculum focuses on identifying triggers, managing cravings, and building community support networks.
Eligibility Requirements
- Age Requirement: The facility specifically provides substance abuse and dual-diagnosis rehabilitation services tailored for adults.
- Clinical Assessment: Prospective clients must complete a comprehensive clinical intake assessment. A clinical team evaluates the individual's substance use patterns, medical history, physical stability, and mental health status to confirm that residential or detox oversight is medically appropriate.
- Active Substance Use or Co-occurring Concerns: Eligibility applies to individuals experiencing functional impairments in health, safety, work, or relationships due to dependency on alcohol or drugs (such as opioids, fentanyl, benzodiazepines, or stimulants), often alongside co-occurring mental health conditions like PTSD or anxiety.
During intake, the Blue Heron Recovery Admissions Team will verify your eligibility via commercial health insurance (such as PPO, POS, or EPO plans) or establish private-pay arrangements. Note that they generally do not process Medicare or Medicaid for these programs.
